Meet the Staff

From the first projections in late 2007 to the beginning of 2009 Skyline Transmission has soared beyond expectations. The automotive service garage image has been shattered for the better as Skyline set the bar up very high. Our state of the art facility beacons with professionalism from its curb appeal. The lobby area is clean, sharp and current. The shop area is efficient and practical. Skyline boasts an incredibly talented staff.

Patrick McDonnell, President and co-owner, has an impressive background of 30 plus years in the Automotive Service Industry. Most of this period has been dedicated to development and betterment of the Transmission Repair segment. Patrick is an expert in developing and exceeding customer expectations. He is focused on service flow management and exceptional selling techniques. Years of top quality experience and previous shop ownership have prepared Patrick to guide Skyline to reach the preferred shop level in Greater Grand Rapids. He is skilled in cold calling skills, marketing and market retention.

Susan McDonnell, Vice President and co-owner, has honed her financial skills with past employment with Old Kent Bank and an executive level position with First Data Processing. She is a graduate of Aquinas College and her business and communication degrees aid greatly in customer development, marketing and cold calling. Her professional skills position her perfectly as Co-Owner of Skyline heading up the financial arm.

Adam Foust, lead transmission rebuilder, has earned the highest level of Transmission Rebuilding certifications, including Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). He has been with Skyline since the beginning and is the embodiment of what this company is about. He has spent the past 15 plus years developing his skill set in the transmission service industry. Adam has no fears and has a let's do it attitude. The work he provides is always with excellence and his come back ratio minimal.

Chad Watkins controls the diagnostic division of Skyline. He is the removal and installer specialist and is currently training under Adam in the rebuilding division. Chad also has earned the highest level of Transmission certifications (ASE). His 16 plus years of transmission service experience and incredible competent work ethic benefits Skyline. Chad is sought after in the transmission industry but has made Skyline his home. He has also been with Skyline since the inception.

Anthony Saniz has many years of experience as a transmission service professional. Diagnostics and removal/replacement are his specialty. Anthony adds an outstanding attitude and knowledgeable transmission background to "The Best Driveline Team" in our area. His detail and thoroughness are appreciated by both Skyline and all of our customers. Anthony is a Chicago native and a huge Cubs fan. He reluctantly agreed to support the Tigers as a condition of employment!
